Degree Requirements

To be considered for graduate admission, an applicant must have:

  • a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • a minimum grade point average of 3.0
  • Graduate Records Examination (GRE) scores no older than three years
  • three-credit courses in statistics, social sciences, biology, and physics or chemistry
  • submitted a completed graduate application and supporting documents via CSDCAS by the established deadline

An applicant with a bachelor's degree from a discipline other than communication disorders may apply if they have earned a minimum of 30 course credits in communication disorders and sciences courses, to include: 15 credit hours of coursework related to the normal development of or the sciences related to speech, language, and hearing; 9 credit hours in speech-language deficits; 6 credit hours in audiology (preferred).

The master's degree program is a two-year program that requires five consecutive semesters: Fall--Spring--Summer--Fall--Spring
