FSA Board of Directors Resolution of November 21, 2011

With the start of the Fall 2011 semester, the Faculty Student Association [FSA] opened the self operated FSA Cafes and Concessions on campus. The FSA has a clearly stated mission and purpose, approved by the Board of Directors, in pursuit of the good of the University and the campus community. All of its programs support that mission and all who work for or on behalf of the FSA understand and are loyal to that mission and purpose.

FSA is committed to providing high-quality products and superior customer service to the entire campus community. The cafes in Mason, and McEwen Halls are FSA self-branded operations. At this time, there are no further licenses or franchises intended beyond the Starbucks in University Commons. However, it should also be noted that Starbucks is licensed operations which are owned and managed by FSA and staffed with FSA/CSEA and The State University of New York at Fredonia student employees.

By operating and owning the Cafes, Starbucks licensed operations, FSA will be able to provide additional and necessary financial support to the University while also ensuring the quality and consistency of all food service operations across campus.

Therefore, the FSA Board of Directors announces the following resolution: Please see the "Reaffirm Decision to Self operate Cafes" document in the Downloads section below.
