First Year Residential Engagement
The First Year Residential Engagement (FYRE) programs are designed to help this population of students engage in the campus community, connect with support services, and establish a sense of belonging that will encourage their continued success at Fredonia.
2026 Fall FYRE Events
- September 7, 2026 at 1:00 PM: Labor Day BBQ
- Stick around campus for a Labor Day BBQ at the William’s Center Patio! Outdoor games, music, and food for purchase with cash or meal plan.
- September 19, 2026 at 9:15 AM: Fredonia Farmers Market
- Meet up at the Starbuck Patio to walk (approximately one mile) to the Fredonia’s Farmers Market at Barker Commons. This market is full of fresh, local produce and crafts and is a community staple.
- September 22, 2026 at 5:00 PM: Volleyball & Sno-Cones
- Join us at the Chautauqua Hall Volleyball court for some friendly competition and a free sno-cone!
- October 1, 2026 at 6:00 PM: Dirty Soda & Craft Night
- Come by the William’s Center MPR for a free DIY sweet treat and leave with your own handmade craft.
- October 4, 2026 at Noon: Bills Mock-Tailgate
- Stop by the William’s Center to watch the Bills v. Patriots game. We will be hosting several fun tailgate games at the William’s Center Patio, free refreshments, and a NFL Jersey Raffle.
- October 16th (Time and Location TBA) Homecoming Block Party
- Come out to celebrate Homecoming 2026 and Fredonia’s Bicentennial!
- October 20, 2026 at 6:00 PM: Show & Tell with Nachos
- Participate in this internet-trending event by bringing a special item, act, song, artwork, presentation or anything else you would like to share with your fellow Blue Devils to the William’s Center MPR. Free nachos and refreshments provided.
- October 30, 2026 at 4:00 PM: Freddy’s Boo-Bonanza Photo-Stop
- Don't miss the second annual Freddy’s Boo-Bonanza for a chance to win some awesome prizes! While you’re out Trick-or-Treating, come by the FYRE photo-stop in the William’s Center MPR to enter our virtual costume contest.
